Nobel Laureates of the year 2001

As the years pass by, the grey matter in humans seem to become more and more active. This year Nobel Prize in CHEMISTRY is shared by three scientists. They are Messrs William S. Knowles, K. Barry Sharpless (both Americans) and Ryoji Noyori (Japanese). The award is with respect to the control of various chemical reactions which can pave the way for the treatment of Parkinson's disease mainly.
PHYSICS: Again shared by three physicists. Mr. Eric Cornell, Mr. Carl Wieman (both Americans) and Mr. Wolfgang Ketterle (of Germany) for their work on principles governing the behaviour of matter. In particular Bose-Einstein condensation in dilute gases of alkali atoms and for early fundamental studies of properties of the condensates.
